Any Whitesnake fans out there?

No, thought not. If, however, you are a fan, offer to redesign their website for them?

Web Pages That Suck we give you Whitesnake.Com.

Be warned if you’re on dial up and haven’t got flashblock installed though.

In other, more serious news, , it’s looking like media bias in the Katerina coverage is sinking to a new level; white people taking stuff from grocery stores are “finding food”, black people are of course “looting”. If in a disaster area and you can’t get out, the only source of sustenance you can find is in an abandoned store. Is that really looting?

And points out that I linked to the wrong story, above link fixed, the other one indicates that the evacuation plan itself may have been racist and was most certainly neglect to the poor. If true, I don’t know which disgusts me more :-(

  2. The link I gave is fine; only it’s to the other story I meant to reference. Oops.

  3. That could possibly be the least useful website I’ve *ever* seen. I’ve seen more ghastly ones, but actually having a design that is so damn unusable - my lord, I can’t believe that there is someone living on this Earth that made that site, and thought “ha - how novel, it’s great”.

Definitely one of those times when you can say. “No, it’s not that nobody thought of it before. Just that everyone else that thought of it, also realised that it was a CRAP idea to have horizontal scrolling on a page.” And that’s just the start of it!

  4. Just wanted to say thanks very much for the links- I found it hard to believe in the first place that people were looting when they could barely get around- I don’t consider gathering food in a disaster area as looting, no matter who does it. Cheers mate.

  5. It’s the vertically-scrolling boxes within the horizontally-scrolling main box that really make it painful.

It also fails the four-seconds test & and the breath-holding test, which are the two benchmarks I use to tell a “rework it” bad webpage from a “scrap it and start again” bad webpage.
