Serenity looking good

Well, I’ve been reading reviews. I’m trying to avoid spoilers, apparently something big happens, no idea what, but, well, I’ll find out when it’s release. Hmm… ? Orson Scott Card thinks it’s the best Sci-Fi movie ever

So here’s what I have to say about Serenity:

This is the kind of movie that I have always intended Ender’s Game to be (though the plots are not at all similar).

And this is as good a movie as I always hoped Ender’s Game would be.

And I’ll tell you this right now: If Ender’s Game can’t be this kind of movie, and this good a movie, then I want it never to be made.

I’d rather just watch Serenity again.

I don’t think you can get a better endorsement than that.

It’s been rumored that Joss Whedon’s master plan includes a trilogy of these movies. If that is the case, I will be there, on opening day, money in hand, for every single one of them.

In other, completely unrelated observations, LJ is great for so many reasons; one of them is the reminder of great music you haven’t listened to for ages; many thanks to for reminding me of the greatness that is Skunk Anansie’s first album.

  1. Ok, that surprised me a little. Still not going to rush out and watch it though.

And anyway, the thing I always loved about Card was that his books were really good. The prefaces and introductions that he wrote were pretty awful, and only served to confirm that in real life he is an absolute nut.
