The Bird Flu panic is pissing me off, 60 people dead in the whole of SE asia, compared to 12,000 killed by normal flu in the UK alone last year? It’s not a problem, worry about the real issues. In the meantime, dyslexia may be genetic, which may mean it can be diagnosed earlier. I’ll not get into my usual rant about undiagnosed learning difficulties and ignorant teachers again.

Also, for those with a sick sense of humour, . thinks I’m the UK equivalent to Jay, but without the gun fetish. , remind me to borrow Pedestrian Wolves next time I’m up, I read a good review of it recently.

Oh, it’s the start of winter, meaning that the clocks change tonight for UK people. Which means I have to be up even earlier than normal to get to the Vs thing has organised at Steve’s. I may need a phone call at 10ish.

  1. But the clocks go back - you get an extra hour in bed. Good thing, no?

    However, the tournament does start at 1100, so a call at 1000 to get you out of bed wont be good enough. You’ll have to be leaving by 1000…

  2. “Fall back”.. Hmm, if it’s 10am, it becomes 9am. Yes, you’re right. Why did I get that wrong in my head? Ah well.

    Actually, I need to be leaving by approx 10.15-10.20, assuming normal Sunday traffic. It used to be I could do the journey in 30 minutes. Ah well…

    Possibly. As I kinda like the guy, it’s one of those denying a compliment things more than anything else.

    Oh yeah; Drugs? Not for myself by choice, but I have no problem at all with others using them, even in my presence, as long as they’re safe.
