Insert Humour Here

Last night in London Town

Right, went out last night in London (as had a former appointment with his Warcrack addiction), to see a recording of the Now Show. Met up unexpectedly with and also with , who, by random chance, is a maintainer of a community I joined yesterday morning. So, I wrote up the report not here, but at , The Now Showwe. Looks like an amusing project, go join…

Tonight, and we’re meeting various people in the pub at Euston Station (called, The Winchester/The Head of Steam The Doric Arch apparently, but incase it’s changed again it’s the one that enters onto the bus station) from about 8.30pm.

Tomorrow, still planning on going to Oxford to that Dreddcon thing. , you still interested? No idea whereabout you’re based, but I’d be looking at taking the 11.21 from Paddington it looks like. In the evening, with luck, meeting up with to catch up, haven’t seen her since the summer.

Mat is happy. Mat has had a good, relaxing week in which he’s acheived very little. Life is OK. Oh yeah. Buy a Euromillions ticket tonight. has done the maths, because of the rollover and guaranteed payout, the maths, for once, is in the favour of the punter.

  1. Buggeration. Had I remembered, I’d have arranged to stalk you.

  2. Oh, come. There’s a party with an entirely different set of people afterwards. You can stay over.

  3. Yes, I think I might. I can’t for the life of me remember how you got onto my friends list, so I hope I won’t be a disappointment. I’ll probably make it by mid afternoon; don’t let me drink too much. Three pints at the most, and then water after that, no matter how much I argue.

  4. I have other plans for tomorrow, depending on how I feel.

  5. The of you were flirting discussing things via comments in my journal. And possibly elsewhere that I didn’t also see.

  6. I blame . If drinking to excess is something to be avoided, I’m good company, I drink incredibly slowly…

    So meet you there then?

  7. Flirting? Never. I don’t flirt. I discuss. Many call this flirting, but I never notice it as such. Might be why I’m normally single…

I think it was mostly your journal though IIRC.

  8. I’ve never actually been stalked. Ah well, another time. Don’t you live oop north somewhere anyway?

  9. Being perpetually single (7 years this Xmas… well, something like December 19th, if I’m being really pedantic, I think), I assume that all people are flirting with each other so that I can fuel my bitter and twisted sense of self-hate.

It’s good for the soul destruction.

  10. Well, that’s sounds about the same time as me, technically. Two (very) brief flings that didn’t count for much, both still friends, beyond that, nowt.

Destruction can be fun though. I recommend random normal people, but only discretely, don’t want to get caught…

  11. I have lived in

    • north Birmingham - born there, lived there with mother and (biological) father
    • Brownhills (when my parents split up, because my maternal grandmother lived there)
    • back to north Birmingham with mother and stepfather, where I’ve variously lived for the last 20 years or so (since 1984, basically)
    • south Birmingham, for large parts of my sixth form time, when I lived with my then-boyfriend due to significant issues with my relationship with my parents and, as it happens, five minutes from where now lives
    • Cambridge (back and forth for edjermuhkayshun)
    • Enfield, where I’ve been for the last two years.

Which makes London convenient for stalking.

  12. I don’t have it in me to flirt with anyone these days; it all seems so hopeless.

  13. Kay! See you there, then. I’m a middle aged, plump brunette.

  14. Great report! Very nice to meet you it was, too. Here’s hoping the car tax answer makes it into the broadcast show… :D
Incidentally, one of the organisers of Dreddcon is married to a schoolfriend of mine… Small world, innit.
